Mirva Tarvainen is a versatile musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Finland.
She’s been greatly influenced by traditional music styles of the Finno-Ugric peoples
(from Northern Europe and parts of Russia), but has also been involved in
classical music, pop, rock, jazz and multidisciplinary projects. Her main instruments
are violin, double bass and voice, and she plays several other instruments,
such as the Finnish bowed lyre, jouhikko. Tarvainen often uses these instruments
to accompany her voice, creating unique resonance and harmonies.

Doors open at 6:30 for all shows 7 – 10pm
